My husband and I decided to move to Puerto Rico so our kids can learn Spanish (I speak Spanish but the rest of the family don't). We will both be working from home so commute is not an issue (other than traveling about once a month so being within an hour of the airport would be nice). So the determine factor of where we would live is safety and the school. Being close to the beach is a plus. We would like a Spanish speaking school or at least 50/50. Can anybody recommend a School/where to live combo that would work for our needs?

Yeah I don't understand it either, virtually all public schools (perhaps with the exception of a few specialist high schools ie: Brigida Alvarez, etc) are pretty much entirely Spanish only except for the English class.

Most of the schools are in spanish, so this is going to be easy.

Pick a place. I'm willing to bet that 99% of the public schools are predominantly Spanish speaking. I know when I applied to teach in PR I had a hard time
Finding a school that would interview me since I don't speak Spanish yet.

"Best Spanish speaking schools in Puerto Rico"

it'll be easier to find a good private affordable spanish school than a "bilingual" school, which are usually taught in all english.

without a location though...

Most schools are Spanish -- we moved here with our toddler last year and he is 100% bilingual already.
We are in the Palmas Del Mar area, plenty of beaches (though the West coast beaches are better). The community is a good mix of Puerto Rican/American and the area is safe. The Palmas Academy is a very good bilingual school.

I think that the Chistri Alvarez public school is the best. All classes are taught in Spanish and in a 3rd grade level and they are beast. Everybody knows this, if not, the Salchicha Domingues school in Yauco is the best. You are welcome gabn. YOU SOUND HOT, HOW OLD ARE YOU?
