This beautiful ISLAND in the middle of the OCEAN has been destroyed by Hurricane MARIA, still no water or electricity in myriad parts of the island.......I know lots of people are hurting......but hopefully, not for long....watch it come back, 100 times better than before.....and I hope that by watching this video, you all will reminisce the wonderful times you have spent there......Enjoy.....!!!!
Doesn't matter that it's in Spanish... the music and the visuals are great!!!
I've been to every place that was shown, and I know it isn't the same right now, but it will come back better than ever! It always does after a hurricane... Hugo & Georges completely destroyed El Yunque, our rainforest.. almost killed off the few remaining Puerto Rican parrots, but everything grew back with a vengeance...
I don't know about the parrots right now, some have been seen way deep in the forest, but the team that takes care of them has managed miracles before and I hope they can do it again!!!
Thank you Sasie!!! Most of it I watched with very blurry eyes, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and relived my time living on my island!!!

I actually heard that most (possibly even all) of them survived Maria. The US Forest Service apparently has some sort of special shelter for the parrots in the forest.
Yes, there is a facility focused on the protection of the green parrots and their survival after earlier hurricanes. It will be interesting to see how they fared on St. Thomas, but after Hugo, there were no parrots found again on St. Croix. Don't know about Culebra and Vieques.
