No it isn't - some things have been taken out (the home tax credit and the doc fix got passed alone for two) but it's still NOT a stand alone UE bill

THINGS have constantly been dumped from bill HR 4213 in an effort to whittle it down to a $$ sum they think the naysayers can stomach enough to pass the whole thing INCLUDING the much needed UE extensions........
What Snowe and Collins voted on was cloture (ie - LIMITING further debate on the bill before taking it to a final vote) on HR 4213.

Yes I know it was for cloture, that's a given, the bill was fully paid for minus the Unemployment for a while now, Snowe and Collins still voted nay on that bill. Now all of a sudden they voted yay for it. There is more to it then end of story. I want to know what they voted on exactly as it wasn't just because of deficit spending as they now support it with UI not being paid for.

Hello!
I am sorry I did not have a chance to go through all 79 pages of this forum. If someone could explain to me the following, I would greatly appreciate it!
If bill gets 60 votes on Tuesday, will it be signed into law by president the same day? What needs to be done after it gets 60 votes for it to become a law? What are the possible scenarios of passing this bill on Tuesday?

(1)The vote on Tuesday is a procedural vote for cloture. That means the bill cannot be debated for more than 30 hours before the final vote is taken. 60 votes are required to invoke cloture.
(2) If cloture is invoked, at the end of the cloture deadline (about 30 hours -- or sooner if Reid can get agreement to move head on the final vote sooner) the final vote is taken. 60 votes are required to pass a bill in cloture.
(3) If the Senate passes the bill, it is returned to the House for another vote. Since the Senate amended the version of HR 4213 that it received from the House, the House must approve the changes made by the Senate.
(4) If the House approves HR 4213 with no further changes/amendments, the bill goes to the President for his signature -- which enacts the bill into law.

So, when would we possibly know about the bill being signed into law (if everything goes as planned)?
Thanks!
