I first became unemployed in January of 2009. As such, would have qualified for a total of 26 weeks UI, plus 47 weeks of Emergency. I went back to work in November, but wound up unemployed again in March, 2010.

Should my date of Original Claim reset, in effect, putting me on a straight 26 week limit, or will I still be able to qualify for Emergency benefits?

It sounds like you are in a similar situation I was in. I was laid off in February 2009, found a temporary job that lasted me from April until August, and then re-opened my claim.

I thought I would be eligible for all of the EUC extensions, but once my benefit year-end date passed, I got a letter in the mail saying that I was disqualified from further EUC extensions because I made more than $2,000 during the 12-month period that my claim was active. I was still eligible to open a new claim, but the amount of money I'm receiving now is only half of what I was getting on my original claim.

It's very likely that you made more than $2,000 between November and March, so I THINK you will have to open a new claim. You'll probably get paid a lot less that what you were making on your original claim, so be prepared for that.
