So DH got termed end April, EC lost the claims he filed online, then finally sent in the paperwork and he was told that his former employer would have 10 business days to appeal. Last Friday was the deadline. So, he calls them today and was told his claim is now in adjudication status. It take 8-10 weeks for that to be resolved, and he should then hear back. What does that mean? If the company disputed his claim, wouldnt there be a hearing? I am so confused. Can someone help me understand this? We are in NC.

Thanks,

B

Adjudication is the legal process by which an arbiter or judge reviews evidence and argumentation including legal reasoning set forth by opposing parties or litigants to come to a decision which determines rights and obligations between the parties involved.
