The kicker was, when I got the call, I was down on my luck leaving the parking lot of filling out an application for a job that barely paid more than minimum wage.
Then my phone rings and it was the better job...regular hours, good base salary + commission, and three miles from my house.
I have to fill out papers then they will send the official offer letter and start date for my training.
I have been doing the most bizarre things lately to find work and worrying night and day and it FINALLY all paid off.
Don't give up!! Jobs are out there...keep on pounding and something will pan out. I was crying my eyes out and desperate last week when I was getting no call backs and was having UE issues. And now it all turned around. If you keep pounding the real and virtual pavement, I am sure something will happen for you all. Maybe tomorrow maybe in two months there is no predicting, but eventually your efforts will pay off. I was so discouraged at one point, so I am sharing this as a story of hope that it is still possible to get hired.
God bless xoxo

There are plenty of jobs out there.
It may require people moving to where the work is or taking a pay cut,but there are jobs.
I blame the media for hyping the unemployment situation like they have been.

Don't blame the media.. blame the economy for making unemployment the situation that it is.

There are jobs but we are creating 12 million a month short. There are over 14 million unemployed and in May 10' only 2.2 million jobs were created. That's one job for every 7 unemployed person. Get your facts straight and don't lead people on with misinformation. Show me where there have been 14 million jobs created. Even if you take the normal unemployment rate of 5% were still 6 million short.

For those of you who use twitter, have you tried "tweetmyjobs.com" They have job listings directly from companies who have posted them on Twitter. You can also tweet your resume. Check it out and good luck to all.

I finally got a job today. I went in for the interview this morning and got the call a few minutes ago. The job is similar to what I had before, but the pay is higher.
