You know what really stinks? When you attempt to follow up and they claim no knowledge of your resume, even if you have verification it was sent (like e-mail or fax verification). One place I hand delivered it to the front desk - and when I called to follow up, I just kept getting voice mail. They never returned my calls.
I usually send out 8-10 resumes a week. I have been applying to everything-entry level to mid level-I try not to look for more than 4 hours a day-more than that and I get depressed. I had an interview on Monday and it went really well (second interview with the same company). They will let me know next week as the HR guy is on vacation-I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
