Yes. Florida legislature needs to act in order for EB payments to resume. Expect a wait. I posted a comment relative to Florida on the EB extension thread at the top of this board:

The states that phased out EB when the 100% federal funding expired must now "re-trigger" those benefits in their respective states to resume paying of EB. I understand that in some states -- like Florida -- that "re-triggering" will require legislation by the state.

Thanks for that update. I told a poster yesterday that Tier 4 benefits in MA would trigger off, but the MA website hadn't been updated as of last night. Many of the states have been very good with the updates - on the new legislation and the impact of the triggers when the monthly 3-month average is announced.
Extended Benefits given after tier 2, will i still get tier 3 and four after eb? Please help!!

Thanks. Our governor came through and signed the executive order late this afternoon.

As long as the rate is above 8.0%, Mass will provide the 20 weeks for EB as per my understanding.
EB/FED-ED trigger rate: 6.5% = 13 weeks / 8.0% = 20 weeks

But I have found this overstatement and exaggeration to be consistent in NELP's communications -- and those of their subsidiary, Unemployed Workers.

For NELP to claim credit for the passing of the legislation smacks of overweening hubris to me.........too bad then that they couldn't have pushed a little harder for the 99ers hmmm?

Too bad he lost that Senate race. He would have been a sensible Senator with real-world government experience.
