Unless you're taking those classes online or something, then yeah they will have an issue with you taking classes. Anything that prevents you from taking a job = bad in their eyes.
I do it. You can do it to. It helps if you had a job while in college prior to being laid off. Online classes, they shouldn't have a problem with. In person classes, they will probably interview you (they interviewed me). I told them straight up that I would drop my daytime courses if I recieved an offer for full time employment. It doesn't matter that you're in school, they just want to make sure that if you are offered employment that you'll take it. Not being able to take employment while being on unemployment eliminates the purpose (and of course you're unable to recieve benefits). This is how it worked out for me. Don't know how it is for other people in other states so YMMV.
