Default Different Message when claiming online today in NJ

The Message i got was
Your claim for unemployment insurance benefits has been accepted. Your benefit payment is being processed

it usually says a check will be mailed to you on the next business day. Could there be a problem that I claimed on Tuesday and not Thursday since I'm on Tier 4. I was told to follow the letter that was sent out a few weeks ago stating to claim on Tuesdays due to my Social Security number.

Edit: Yeah, im a retard. My wife said it's because they aren't sending out checks so that's why it doesn't say a check will be mailed to you on the next business day. I also got email confirmation that the payment is being processed for the first time ever. If there was an issue it would probably have said to call to file my claim over the telephone or had a "pending" review message.

Are you on your initial 26 weeks or an extension? I think this may be the new standard message. I've tried calling to get through to an agent but the lines are so loaded that no matter how fast i hit redial, I can't get through. I'm sure if there was something wrong it would have said it's being reviewed or that to file by telephone.

Went down to my local office. The lady said that following the letter is the right thing to do. As long as it says payment is accepted and will processed, that there is no problem. If there was I would received an error message. The line was too long to actually speak to an agent but was assured the letter is legit and that the new message was probably updated to reflect that no checks are being mailed anymore.

For those that were getting checks, when was the last time you received a check? Last week may have been the absolute last week for receiving checks.

They actually discontinued checks in November. If you don't have direct deposit, they send you a debit card.

I think it just took them a while to update their message.

yeah that's exactly what it is. A friend of mine that works for the division of Unemployment just got back to me and said that is the new normal message. People were getting confused about getting messages saying a check will be mailed out.

Also those letters we got are in fact 100% legit. Doesnt matter if you're collecting an extension or an initial claim, you file on a monday or tuesday.

Hi,
normally when I call in the message states "your claim has been processed. A benefit payment in the amount of $***.** will be issued to you on our next buisness day. Today it only said your claim has been processed. Does this mean it went through or is there an issue? I am confused by this. Thanks for the help

Every Sunday we get messages about trouble claiming online. It could be a computer glitch.

It could also mean you have reached your benefit year end (bye)? If so, you need to call NJ to recertify your claim.
