I don't get HBO so I won't get to see it, but I thought it sounded interesting. They apparently follow someone through 99 weeks of unemployment and what they are doing to find work. One of the comments in the article was "it's very apparent the unemployed are not lazy"..duh, but it's also interesting that this mess has gone on so long that they are making movies about it.

It's also interesting that most 99ers can't afford premium channels like HBO to watch a documentary about other 99ers.

Last quarter Google hired over 2,000 college grads. http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?sec...ess&id=8390951, but how many of them were Americans?

CA has the Dream Act now and more college seats are given to foreigners after residents have paid taxes for years to support our colleges. So, if American jobs are the answer to our economic mess, how many corporations are hiring Americans? I live the Bay area and the demographics tell me that Americans are getting pushed out of jobs and college seats and are expected to be subservient to imported workers. We have led the world but our politicians have sold out the American worker and are now being labeled unemployable!

BUY AMERICAN AND HIRE AMERICAN

It would have happened sooner had any drama happened but it's just people going broke quietly or families slipping out of subdivisions at night. Not much excitement and really this sounds boring following one person. They should have a show based around preparing some unemployed people to resume work and putting them through some type of obstacle course. You have judges and ratings like the olympics. How about the labor Olympics? It would be great entertainment for smug mean people and the unemployed as well, as they could earn some gift cards from Target or Walmart. Not employment, they could still keep benefits. I don't have HBO.
