First-time poster to this site. I noticed that this thread has gotten a lot of attention so I thought this might be a decent place to post. Apologies if I am in the wrong thread for my questions.

- Lost my FT job at the end of August, 2010. I have been on the Unemployment ever since. (I did pick up a PT job in May, 2011 for those wondering). I have used up the 26+20+13 first three steps and now am coming close to using up the 13 weeks of "Tier 3."

- My question is, What happens after Tier 3 is exhausted? I have heard/read that there is another 20-week step but I don't know how I get that. How will I know if I qualify? Should I continue to file every other Sunday like I have been and I will be advanced into this next step? I heard that there are papers that need to be filled out weekly to provide proof that I am job hunting. Is this correct? Is this how it goes? What is my likelihood that I am advanced into this 20-week tier, if it exists? I heard that the UC lasts 99 weeks and I know I am not that far along yet, so I hope that I qualify.

I am thankful to the program that I have it. It has been nice to know that even the smaller amount of money I am benefited to have is there when I need it in these hard times. I do continuously look to improve as often as I can and if these additional 20 weeks are not available to me, the search needs to ramp up even faster ... I guess that is why I am posting late tonight.

I thank all in advance for their wonderful thoughts and knowledge.

-J in PA

No EB/HUP payments in PA after January 28. See #6:

Unemployment FAQs

If PA resumes EB/HUP at a later time, they will notify you. Work searches are required if and when that happens.

I submitted all of the last 7 weeks of forms for HUP EB (20 weeks in all), but just received 4 more weeks of forms in the mail. Computer glitch?

Yes. Several other people have reported this, as well.

Once you exhaust your 20 weeks of mail claims the balance on your clain is zero. No payments will be processed for those weeks.

Cut off Jan. 28th. EB payments end when state is no longer in an EB period, regardless of balance. See FAQs #6
