I am working full-time & part-time jobs. If need a job you will accept any type of job to pay your bills and to have a place to live. I never hear of people seeking part-time janitorial job. You can go on craiglist and they have all types of job. Many people think because they worked hard and went to college and received all of these degrees, they deserved a higher paying job. Sometimes in life you must take what you can get until you can do better.
They should not extend unemployment, because if they extend unemployment for four weeks or six weekend when the money run out agian, you sitll will not have a job. This becomes like food stamps and section 8.
Blah, blah, blah, - reduce yourself to poverty so big business can keep raking in record profits.
This is clearly an inflammatory post, but in a predatory, "boot-strapping," Just World Fallacy ridden joke of a culture, that's to be expected.
Facts are facts - there are nowhere near enough jobs to go around.
Even if one uses the optimistic U3 unemployment numbers, there are 2.6 people out of work per job opening. If you use the more realistic U6 number, you're looking at 5.1 people out of work per job opening:
But, sure - let's cut social safety nets because that will somehow, magically, make jobs reappear... because "clearly" people out of work would rather be poor and unemployed vs. being better paid and working... right...

And while you're cleaning toilets and pushing a broom for $8/hour, how are you going to go on a job interview for a REAL job that will pay your bills and support your family??? Or do you plan on working 3 crappy, minimum-wage jobs for the rest of your life?

No one never seems to have the answer to that question. Now if someone is working part-time then its possible to do but full-time it would be very diffult.

it is always people without a degree that say things like this. these are the only jobs you can get that is why you take them. like someone mentioned. you can't live off that and pay bills, support a family, and pay back college bills. if you did take that job like you do and have people to support financially you are bound to go on welfare so that contradicts what you say. those are dead end jobs..not a career. no retirement fund or health insurance in those jobs. like someone mentioned, there are not many good jobs anymore..good jobs are being outsourced to other countries who work for cheap. most jobs you see nowadays are small company jobs that offer **** pay. there is something wrong with this country when the government bails out companies to help the economy with taxes we pay and in return they send jobs overseas to make more money. ue insurance is insurance you pay for in every check when you worked. it gives you time to look for a job..so **** off, after that there used to be extensions and considering it is the government's fault that so many jobs no longer exist, that is the least that they can do..it is called emergency benefits for a reason

I agree, deciding to accept a minimum wage job accomplishes nothing
