Default How long to get paid after winning appeal?

I live in NM I was denied extended benefits on 9/18/2011. I appealed. Had a hearing on 11/23/2011. Got a letter from appeals judge on 11/28/2011 stating I WON the appeal. I have been certifing the whole time. Today is 12/19/2011 and still havent gotten paid. Does anyone know how long it takes after winning an appeal before you finially get paid?

Don't be a leach. You were denied a benefit and won. You should say why you were denied, what you said to win, and then ask for when you can expect payment. You probably have wonderful information to share regarding your experience, but you just want to take.

It can take quite a while to get back payments after an appeal. The appeal decision needs to be sent back down the line for processing. That usually doesn't happen right away. Also, you may not get all your money at once. In CA, back payments often are paid out in increments. Also, in some states, when calling in to inquire on payment status, claimants have been told to fax their copy of the appeals decision to xxxxxxxx in order to expedite, because the downline people know nothing about it. Red tape. Call your NM office, ask about status, ask where you can fax a copy of the appeal to expedite payment. You will still have to follow up after that.

Let us know what they say.

And, yes, more details on your case would be helpful to all.

Same thing happened to me! My hearing was on Nov. 4th,2011 & I received notice that I won my appeal on Wed. Nov. 23rd. Since then I have not been paid or heard ANYTHING AT ALL!! EDD only owes me one check from back in July 2011, but I DESPERTLY need the $$. So where do I go from here?/ I live in Calif.

You should be telling your story about how you accomplished your win, and then hopefully others will share how long it will take for you to get paid.

Just what I said above. Call EDD. You may have to fax your determination notice on the win to someone. It takes a VERY LONG TIME for CA to process payments on an appeal. You can expedite this by being very proactive. Make that call.

I called the UE office 1 1/2 weeks after my appeal hearing. They told me I had been approved for 7 back weeks of UE and that a letter was sent out the day before. She also told me the approval to the bank that handles the funds had already been sent over and gave me their number. I called the bank, they confirmed I had been approved and I had them direct deposit the money into my account. I got the approval letter the next day and the funds in my account 3 days later. So, it took a total of about 2 weeks from appeal hearing to receiving funds.

Congratulations, spm62. Maryland apparently is worlds better on the processing/payment end than CA. EDD is a problem, sadly.
