Your bye occurred two months ago. Any bye processing took place at that time.

If AZ is paying you Tier 3, AZ did an automatic recertification for you in Jan. 2012 and is continuing to pay you benefits from your original claim. You do not need to do anything.

If you've read this thread, you will know another poster in AZ has now begun to receive additional 10 weeks on Tier IV. AZ website may be outdated in certain areas. Ignore it.

Just keep certifying as you normally do.

To StillStruggling, your post has some holes in it, and I'm going to say you won't be getting a 16 week tier 4 and you probably won't be getting even a 6 week tier 4, and here's why:

You say you applied in Dec 2010 but your claim wasn't effective until Jan 2011, but you don't give the dates. I know this because I've counted out the weeks because my claim was effective 12/26/10. I think you had severance that delayed your drawing of benefits. May 10th is a Thur, and there is no way you're exhausting on that date. June 10th is a Sun and because of the way you file claims, I think you do think you're exhausting on that date, but it's really on the weekending Saturday that someone really exhausts.

So, since June 9th is after June 1st, the 16 week tier 4 will be gone, and there will only be 6 weeks available, but because the trigger goes from 8.5% to 9% and AZ is only currently at 8.8% AZ will trigger off tier 4 and you'll in all probability will get nothing on tier 4, so save your money. Based on you being on tier 3 when you are, you didn't work at all during 2011 or 2012, so you will have no income to file a new claim.

AZ's website has shown the 6 + 10 weeks of tier 4 since 3/8/12, so you saying it says nothing means you never looked.

Default To Chyvan Re Response

I didnt have a severance it was a dispute that wasnt approved for disbursement til the first week of Jan (hence Jan 2011 that I cited). My first file date would have been Jan 1,2011. When I spoked to the AZ representative in Nov.2011 they stated (and this was before the congress ext) that after tier 3 I would have 6wks of tier 4 and then 3 weeks of tier 5. As for the May 10th reference, i wrote "the WEEK of May 10th" not the date of May 10th. I receive benefits every Tuesday dependent on if I file on Sunday. I did read the earlier post by the AZ receiptant receiving 10 weeks on tier 4, and wasnt aware of all the changes to tier 4. Hence my posting to this thread. I hope I plugged any holes for you. I do thank you for imput/advice.

There is no Tier 5. Do you mean Tier 3 was 6 weeks and Tier 4 was 3 weeks?

Since you've had a smaller than 26-week state claim, your benefit for augmented Tier 4 will be prorated to 62% of the amount of your original monetary determination instead of the normal 24%.

So, take your original award when you first claimed x 62% and divide that by your weekly benefit and you will know how much your Tier 4 benefit will be. I'm estimating your Tier 4 should be about 10-11 weeks in total, since your original EUC benefits were about 67% of the full amount.

Keep after AZ on this. You are entitled to a prorated, augmented Tier 4.

And to Still Struggling, I agree with Ariadne22. You did plug the holes with the dates, and the conclusion you did not get a full 26 week award explains the deviations from my counting of weeks. All your EUC tiers are going to be a little less than the maximum upto amounts for that reason.

Please come back and tell us if they did 6 and then 10 or if they did a full 16.

Nobody11 got his as a separate 10, but he was in a special situation. You on the other hand haven't entered tier 4 just yet, and the kinks may be fully worked out.

Yes, indeed, report back. If that rep told you 16 weeks, she was wrong. Since yours was a smaller claim, Tier IV should be prorated on the basis of 62% of the amount of your original claim. If AZ actually pays you the full 16 weeks, it will be doing so erroneously. I suspect the computers will get it right.

I'm not so sure anymore Still Struggling got less than 26 weeks based on these quotes, "i filed my claim in dec 2010 not effective til jan 2011," and, "I didnt have a severance it was a dispute that wasnt approved for disbursement til the first week of Jan (hence Jan 2011 that I cited)."

Also, if Still Struggling got a 25 week claim, would 25 x .62 = 15.5 still round up to a 16 week tier 4?
