Hi. Anyone know if unemployment in NJ immediately stop unemployment benefits without warning? Or do they make you aware that you are no longer entitled?

Thanks

You may find out when you claim online when you get the message "your claim cannot be paid at this time, pending review" or "call a rep." Subsequent to that you might get a letter.

Are you worried about an objection from your employer?

Yes. Especially with extension. But my question is...will they let me know beforehand via mail or call whether or not they are going to pay my benefits. Especially if they've already processed payment? Or will they let me know beforehand? Can they stop payment on direct deposit?

They won't reverse any direct deposits. Just send you a letter if they want their money back. You would be appealing first.

Whether or not you go on an extension has nothing to do with your employer contesting your claim. Your employer will contest it now, in the beginning, or possibly during the year, or even a year from now, at your bye, if it is contacted again.

Worry about it when it happens, if it does.
