Default NJ tier 1 question???

I am currently collecting my original claim and my last paycheck will be on May 1st. Will I be able to collect tier 1 or no? If I am then do I get enrolled automatically? I live in New Jersey...

Keep claiming. NJ will automatically move you to EUC, if your claim qualifies. If you are uncertain about eligibility, call NJ and ask.

I could have sworn that I read after a certain date for NJ a person would no longer be able to continue to a tier. But If that's not the case I should be able to move along to tier 1 in the beginning of may

Please read FAQS: http://www.city-data.com/forum/23479399-post5.html

EUC payments continue to 12/29/2012, assuming NJ UE rates allow.

You will move to Tier I in May for 20 weeks. Thereafter, you will transition to Tier II for 14 weeks, then to Tier III for 9 weeks, or December 29, whichever comes first. After that, any further benefits will require another Congressional extension.

Hello, I was not put on Tier 1 automatically. I was sent a letter given a 2 day interview. Is that a good thing or a bad thing. I live in NJ. Any advice would help.

Did you work during the past six months? There may be a question about earnings before you are moved to Tier 1.

Let us know what this interview entails.
