I notice you didn't answer any of my questions about the timeline.

Also most people buy cruise insurance, and certainly those who need 3 yrs to save for one. It doesn't cost much and in the event you can't make your cruise you get your money back.

I call BS, and I see others agree.

Wow, interesting! Well caught!

But, seriously, I can't believe how many people mentioned breaking the law in this thread.

Just in case anyone is reading and is really curious about an answer, if you know you're going on a trip right after you're laid off, don't file for unemployment until you get back from your trip. It will save you a lot of hassle in the long run. And, if you are spending that much money that took you years to save up for, then buy trip insurance.
