My cousin on EUC has been keeping a job search record, but on form UC-304 there is a section called "employer contact name and phone number". For the jobs he applies for online there are no specific names listed, but most of the time phone numbers are. Instead of him waiting 60+ minutes on the phone waiting for a UC rep I thought about posting on this forum. I dont think calling the business and asking for a name is a good idea. Any suggestions?

I'm on EUC in PA too and was wondering the same thing. My guess is that the folks at the unemployment office are realistic enough to realize that an employer contact name is not always available when you apply through sites like Monster.com.

Usually these sites send you a confirmation E-Mail. Monster.com does, though I can't remember about sites like Hotjobs, Dice, or Careerbuilder. I keep these confirmation E-Mails on file with my UC-304 form. Also, if you log in to your account at Monster, there's an application history you can look through.

So basically, even without an Employer contact name and number, there's still proof. Keep that handy and if you're asked to provide proof of your work search, provide that.

If you have the name of the company you applied to you would just google it to find the name and contact number. I wouldn't worry about a contact name just the number and the email to support that you applied. I think the only time there is not a contact person is when you apply online.
