Good luck. That is a wise choice.

Currently unemployed for about 2 mos now... I am guessing no extensions. They are done with campaigning they don't need the votes right away.

Default Commute distance to job

What would anyone consider a reasonable limit to commute distance/time to a job? You have to consider the wear and tear on your car, gas, salary and how far and how long you can stand driving (i.e., quality of life). I'd rather take a little less money with a more livable commute, personnally. I did a 55 mile each way commute for a year and half and it took a terrible toll on me. I'd probably take a long-distance commute if offered, but would continue to look for another job closer. I'd be interested to see what others consider a reasonable distance.

In my opinion I would say 30 mins each way.

i would take $200 less a week on a full-time job driving 5 miles to work rather than 55 miles each way. the gas, maintenance cost, car value, and 2 hours less driving makes that an easy choice in today's economy.

30 mins? When I lived in Chicago that was the driving portion then I got on a train for another 30 mins. If I had not taken the train and instead rode buses and the el my commute would have been closer to 2 hrs. 30 mins in a big city isn't very far!

When UC is nearing an end, any job is cool.

When UC has ended and there's no money to take even a bus, first shift at the sandwich shop on the corner looks good and is doable!
