on tier 1 in o.k. i have one partial week left to claim. is there a tier 2 available or is that all i will recieve, if i get that, its like 100 bucks..but im worried about the 6% trigger..any thoughts would be helpful.
If you are in Oklahoma(?), there is no Tier 2. Oklahoma triggered off Tier 2 in June. OK needs a UE rate of 6% or higher in order to pay Tier 2. Right now its UE rate is closer to 5%. No Tier 2 in OK.
They have now brought the bill up for consideration in the house. I am watching it on C span now. After the hour of bluster I think they are going to vote on it.
LOL thats the thing I've looked for a sticky on that issue but can't seem to find one. This is what Cali says to qualify...
Are fully or partially unemployed on or after July 6, 2008,
Have exhausted your entitlement to your regular UI claim,
Are not qualified to file a new regular claim,
Have had a valid claim that began on or after May 7, 2006,
Meet all eligibility criteria, AND
Have a regular UI claim where the total amount earned in the base period is either:
More than 40 times your weekly benefit amount
OR
More than 1.5 times the highest quarter in your base period.
I can go down that list and check them off one by one and qualify but wondered if there was something I have missed that in spite of fulfilling all the above criteria you may still not get it.
my one glitch would be if they adjusted a lump sum payment in my base period which I'd be surprised if they did at this point. I assume once it's applied to the original claim they don't readjust those amounts.

any way they may lower the trigger percentage or will my euc end in oklahoma after the tier 1?
Since, as I said, there will be no Tier 2 in Oklahoma, it follows your benefits end at Tier 1. NO, they will NOT lower the trigger. If anything, given the way benefits were reduced incrementally last year, it would be more likely Congress would go in the other direction and put a trigger on Tier 1, although the draft extension legislation doesn't read that way.
Your benefits end with Tier 1. You are in a very low unemployment state. 6% is pretty much considered the lowest trigger point for the UE rate nationally for benefits. Congress is NOT going below that.
I filed my (EUC) weekly claim on sunday 12/30 (before the cliff) and should have been paid today but received nothing (holiday). Should I expect something tomorrow or am I cut until our wonderful leaders extend EUC benifits?
Usually the UC check comes on Wednesday or is that different depending on the state?
The one area I've not seen discussed is what would disqualify you for Extended benefits
Yes, this issue is covered in FAQS, post 2 - and has been discussed numerous times on this board:

5. How do I know if my claim qualifies for the federal extensions (EUC/EB Earnings Eligibility):
You must have base year earnings equal to 40x weekly benefit, or 1.5x highest quarter earnings, or (in some states) at least 20 weeks of eligible earnings. Your state website may list its guidelines.
what are the chances of extending the weeks in teir one then? thanks again.
