Good for her, I have a similar story. Last year I had just had found a job through a temp agency. I was only working there for about a week, when my car broke down. I didn't have transportation to get to work nor any money to take the bus, I was flat broke. The next day I decided to walk to work , I was basically at the end of my rope I didn't even like that (assignment) job. I walked the 13 miles to work , worked my shift which is basically a Machinist job so I was on my feet all day. When my shift was over I walked the 13 miles back. That's basically marathon distance, you can imagine how tired I was when I got home. I commend that lady for what she did, I wouldn't do it again thought, specially for a temp job. About a week after that incident I was fired, my feet were happy.
