but Temporary relief for workers is fraud and outrages. This is not permanent like food stamps or welfare ,. I hope you lose your job one day, and don't take benefits., yeah right..you'd be the first one in line with hands out..LOL..Kinda like those Katrina residents that are conservative, once disaster struck... they changed their tune..so it's not my fault the government better help me too.
Don't forget TARP, HARP, Reverse Mortgages, Medicare, Social Security that many take advantage of while they bash the unemployed.

No I was , and am against business bailouts. I would have let the D3 go to bankruptcy w/o public backing. GM would be a wholy owned subsidiary of a more successful competitor than. I liked the decision to watch Lehman die.

Several years of "temporary" = now is the right time to end it. We are closer to full employment than recession level employment.

We are not closer what are you talking about..the unemployment rate..is based on people collecting funds...the actual rate is higher..if you count people who are no longer on benefits...the fact is the unemployment rate is higher know then it was then when bush introduced the euc program..in 08..with all due respect. .

It will be extended. Unemployment is higher now then whne this plan started and long term unemployed is highest since WW2. I watch most of the shows today and most analyst think it will get extended. But ofcourse we have to see how it goes.

Wrong, both the U3 and U6 are down 3-5 points versus their peak.

Temporary means temporary.

Yes the unemployment rate is higher then when extended benefits were started under George bush . And yes the actual rate is really about 14% economist say. From what I see on the news today the republicans are starting to turn they said. Local constituents are making there voice heard and when an actual vote happens they would never vote no and risk there jobs. We will see some form of extension. Most likely for 2014 and probably as long as unemployment goes below 6.5 that will be the end of extensions. but they need to do something for the long term unemployed. I am not one of them but know alot of people who are and they have been looking for 9-10 and more months and cant even get an interview and these are folks with degrees and long work historys. This economy is turning around but not for the middle class.
