Its crazy, they playing with people and children well being, all this talk by the congress, They have to GO in November 4, 2014. We have to vote these clowns out ASAP!! This is madness. We are all fault of this. When we allow these losers to take over the Congress in 2010. Rand Paul is a loser!!! He is a joke, he got his position through his daddy name. You hear of none of these speaking about the children who will suffer from this. No compassion at all. So on November 2014, I won't have no compassion voting their butt out the office. They have the best job, of not doing a thing.

thank you everyone for posting updates. to think this is still being negotiated in only the senate.. hopefully what the republicans agree with from the senate is good enough for the republicans in the house when it gets there. being a majority of republicans in the house..there are a lot more people there to convince...hopefully they pass it like they say if they find something that pays for it all

the federal government still managed to spend billions of dollars on seemingly frivolous projects – from a $384,989 grant for Yale University to study the duck penis to $1.9 million for “lifestyle” lessons for Senate staffers.

Most members of the Kentucky congressional delegation are millionaires, according to an analysis of personal financial data by the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has an average net worth of $22.8 million, making him the wealthiest member of the state delegation, the 10th wealthiest senator and 37th wealthiest lawmaker overall, the analysis shows.
Rep. John Yarmuth, D-Louisville, is the second wealthiest among Kentucky lawmakers, with an average net worth of $21.2 million. He is the 30th wealthiest House member and 41st wealthiest lawmaker in Congress.
McConnell and Yarmuth are part of an unusual congressional majority that has emerged for the first time in history in both houses and parties: millionaires.
“Despite the fact that polls show how dissatisfied Americans are with Congress overall, there's been no change in our appetite to elect affluent politicians to represent our concerns in Washington,” Sheila Krumholz, executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics, said in a statement. “Of course, it's undeniable that in our electoral system, candidates need access to wealth torun financially viable campaigns, and the most successful fundraisers are politicians who swim in those circles to begin with.”
Using financial disclosure data members of Congress and candidates filed last year, the center found that of the 534 current lawmakers, at least 268 had a net worth averaging $1 million or more in 2012.
Rep. Hal Rogers, R-5th District, and chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, has an average net worth of nearly $3.8 million, the center found. That placed him 122nd in wealth among members of Congress.
Rep. Ed Whitfield, R-1st District, was next wealthiest among Kentucky lawmakers, with an average net worth of $3.4 million.
Rep. Thomas Massie, R-4th District, had an average net worth of $2.85 million.
Rep. Brett Guthrie, R-2nd District, had an average net worth of nearly $1.4 million.
Despite being an opthalmologist, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., did not have a very high net worth last year: $398,000.
Rep. Andy Barr, R-6th District, had an average net worth of $346,000.
The center said the median net worth for all House members was $896,000, an increase from $856,000 in 2011.
House Democrats had a median net worth of $929,000, compared to House Republicans’ $884,000.
The median net worth for senators jumped last year to $2.7 million from $2.5 million in 2011.
Senate Republicans had a median net worth of $2.9 million, contrasted with Senate Democrats at $1.7 million.
The average net worth of the other congressional leaders besides McConnell looked like this: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.: nearly $4.4 million; House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.: almost $88 million; House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio: $3.9 million.

This is not going anywhere. the house is out of session after this Thursday until Jan 27th so if this does pass the Senate it will not get to the house until they are back in session. What a waste of time.
