I'm seasonal worker my work just end last week , my previous UB year ends on 11/06/2013 and I still have 1100$ under last claim. Since I don't work anymore I was told to wait till UB expire and file new claim, do I wait till then and since I don't exhausted my last benefits will I be eligible for new claim? And can I still certified for benefits on my old claim and then open new claim on 11/07? I'm in illinois if that's help

Reopen your old claim. Whoever said to wait is costing you a week's benefits, at least.
I try to certify for benefits today and the only option was to reopen my claim? So I did that and whats will happen next? will I be able to get paid for last 2 weeks since I did not work ? and since my year is ending on 11/6 do I file new claim now on that date?

Yes. You will need to claim those two weeks, however. Try claiming this Sunday. See what the system tells you.
Even if you've claimed, however, Illinois will want to interview you before it pays you. You should be getting a letter in the next week or so on that.

Thanks for a reply, is interview something that I need to worry? Is it phone interview or in person at office?
You only need to worry if your former employer reports the layoff as a discharge for misconduct or a quit. Since yours was a layoff, assuming your employer reports your discharge as a layoff as well, IL may skip the interview. If IL schedules an interview, it will be over the phone. You'll know more in a week or so.
So I did not get anything in mail yet , when I try to certify on Wednesday (that was my original day to certify) I get message that I can only certify on Thursday or Friday. I will file new claim at bye 2morrow , can I still call Thursday or Friday to get paid from last week and then be on new claim?

Probably not.
You will be confusing the system by filing a new claim BEFORE collecting from the existing claim.
First, you should claim last week from your expiring claim FIRST. Hopefully, IL will let you do that.
WAIT until you are paid for that week.
Once you are paid, file a new claim online.
If the system shuts you out at anytime, then you really need to call a rep.
I file a new calim on 11/06 but I think I make a mistake coz my year ends on 11/06 and I should file after year ends on 11/07 can anyone confirm this? when I call teleservice to check status of my claim the system is saying that I have exhausted my benefits and I may qualify for extension . Is that mean that they trying to put me under my old claim coz i file on 11/06 not 11/07?
