2014 unemployment extension (CA) (receive, reapply, federal, state)

Has anyone in Ca been able to get an unemployment extension? I received unemployment for six month though approved through January 2015, but am I wasting my time in reapplying?

The Federal Gov stopped offering unemployment extensions after Dec 31, 2013. In CA you get 26 weeks, that's it. Some other states get way less.

I used this magical tool called "google" to try and find an answer to your question (don't bother trying to learn anything about it - it's far too complicated for the common man to understand). I asked for info on "california unemployment extension" and the first response was a link to this page : New Developments on Federal Unemployment Extensions and Benefit Cuts and that page seems to answer your question (basically, you are S.O.L.). The Feds stopped this a year ago. The unemployment forum above is the best reference.
