I was terminated from employment after 13 3/4 years with same company . Never received a verbal , nor written warning for anything during years of service . One day , I get an invite to the main bldg , there I am met with HR and a manager that I never reported to before . During this meeting , I am told about phone issues , I explained that this was reported to IT , the supervisors I reported to . All made aware via emails that there was a problem with phone . I have written proof that not only were they aware of the issue , but deemed it normal and there was no fix , glitch in the system . When I explained this , fell on deaf ears . I asked what could be done to correct the issue , I was told nothing . I was being terminated . I stated no warning verbal or written , you are just terminating me , they said yes .
I filed for unemployment the following day , I was told by agent that I would get packet in a couple of days , have not gotten it yet . I went online and pulled up my account . It has Monetary amounts but says that there is a non monetary appointment for a date in January . Do I receive benefits until that time , or I am not able to receive benefits until then ? I have not had any issues prior to this in the two times in my life I claimed benefits .
I am sorry this happened to you. I don't understand your question, but others might. I would think you would get UI benefits under the circumstances. Looks like they downsized you as an older employee who probably made more than the kid who will replace you or they will eliminate your job to save bucks. Good luck and enjoy your holiday break!

You won't receive benefits until a decision is made granting them to you. At this time, your claim is under investigation, and you won't see a nickel until it's over. File your weekly claims as though you are going to get paid because if a decision is made in your favor, you'll receive waiting week credit or a payment for each week that was claimed.
