I filed my unemployment 10/21. Got a letter in the mail that I’d be able to begin collecting today 11/7. I should’ve known this was too good to be true because the process never goes this easy. (I work in a seasonal business and always collect this time of year) I called today just to double check and they told me my claim was invalid and that I should’ve received something in the mail telling me so. I never did. The woman told me that I needed to do a Monetary interview but didn’t schedule me one until 2 weeks from now. I’ve been here before, I’ve done the interview I understand the process. Just curious if anyone has had any type of luck with getting an interview quicker? Is there a number to call? A specific department? Something I could say? I know how difficult it is to get through to humans on NJ unemployment. Typically I wake up right before they open and still have to wait an hour to speak to someone. Just really hoping there’s some way I can get this interview sooner? And move the process along...
