It would say for type of unemployment extended benefits and 13 weeks would be added to your balance that is what mine says.

Not sure what's going on mine says next week payable 9/11/21 also and still has a balance too. I haven't seen anything about an extension. Let me know if anyone still claimed today. Thanks

I received a letter in the mail today saying I am eligible for the NJ extension. I had already checked my claim online so I already knew they had loaded the money and it says extended benefits.

Anyone who has actual work earnings/benefit record and otherwise qualifies for "normal" UI and meets requirements for "extended" in most states are moving onto that scheme if still available.

Those who have exhausted all weeks of UI (including extended), self-employed and other PUA claimants are cut off, period. Their claims are being closed off as of last or this week (depending upon when state pays final checks), and that's all she wrote.

If those affected have a work record/benefits since starting "enhanced" or whatever you want to call CARES act provisions (such as PUA) are being told by NYS and others they can apply to open a new claim. However it would be rather odd to have a work record after one was supposed to be unemployed past year or so.

Of course those on valid "normal" UI are still getting payments, just that extra $300 top off is now gone.

All of above and more likely factored into why not even big liberal, progressive, socialst blue states like NY, NJ, CA, and WA took Biden up on extending things using part of federal stimulus money they received.

Doing so would have meant once again a massive scramble to reprogram their old and obsolete computer systems to among other things extend claims that otherwise long would have ended. That or facing prospect of starting new claims for huge numbers thrown off federal funding and whatever new program a state set up.

When you look at backlog states like CA still have and are trying to sort out, it all was just more than things were worth.
