Default Getting a Part-time Job while receiving unemployment benefits?

which makes your Unemployment Compensation LOWER so why do people do it?

I do know it extends the unemployment period so I'm wondering is that the reason why some people have done that.

well if i was to do something like that it would have to be with a job that I wanted to do for a living since graduating college which is the mass media, tv or radio. Not only will i be working part-time to be possible full-time but I will be able to gain experience in that field.

I seen people get a part-time job at target which i didn't understand

Some people believe it's better to provide for themselves, at least in part, than let the government provide for them.

I think you made a typo - didn't you mean

Cuz they want every dime they can get their hands on (without really working hard), to be blunt.

In some cases I'm sure that totally true.

Or all they could find was a part time job and are still looking and do work hard during the time they are at the p/t job. I don't like to generalize like that.

If they didn't collect the Unemp and still had a p/t job, that means they are working harder? That doesn't make logical sense. They could still be sluggish workers p/t and NOT collect the rest of the Unemp. So I don't like to be that way

Or, like me, some people don't like to sit around on their butts and do nothing all day!

I was half-joking...I don't agree with unemployment benefits on principle...but then again I had a job since I was 14 years old, so I can't really imagine being paid while NOT working

True, They are benefits the person earned while working tho, so it really is theirs. The govt just doesn't want you to collect that any longer than you have to. It is finite and will run out based on how much you've put into it over the years.
