But that's not the case when you have to factor in daycare expenses! That is NEVER free much less cheap!
Amen. If I don't find a job in my field, I'm better off staying home. We have 3 children and there is no human way possible we could afford for me to work for min. wage somewhere. Daycare costs for 3 children in our area would run me about $400 a week. Then factor in that we lost one car due to the lack of income, so we'd have to get a second car, second insurance... yeah, if I'm not making $36K or above I'm going in the hole to work. They have daycare assistance programs, but if we both work we make too much to qualify, go figure! The problem is my background is in recruiting and staffing. The higher the unemployment % gets, the less work there is in my field. We do best as an industry when there is very little unemployment and companies have to be competitive to get the best people. Now the best people are unemployed and eagerly applying everywhere. It's a catch 22 on all levels. *sigh*

Hi everyone. Dianeparker56, have you called any of the contacts given on this thread, because it sounds like the GADOL is not giving you the correct information. To any member familiar with interstate claims, can you please chime in, so we can assist dianeparker56.

My tier 2 ran out in March and everytime I called to my local dol office they tell me to wait til the 28 days to find out if I am eligible since I did part time temp work with the census bureau which was a whopping 6 weeks.....I did receive a letter saying I was elgible however I haven't received a second letter stating my beneftis. My question is has anyone received the second letter stating the benefit amount for SEB and when will payments be made??? I am a single mother with two kids and I hold a bachelor's degree which right now means absolutely nothing!!!

I got paid two days prior to my determination letter. The first letter came stating I was eligible and how to apply online, then about 3 weeks later I got paid, then two days after that got the letter with the amounts.

GaMotherof2 have you called the numbers being posted to get some answers to your questions and if not the correct answers from your local dol office maybe you should call the other people in the Atlanta office to assist you. Like Zandy, Mrs. Yates(God Bless them) and the others who have diligently helped us.
