Probably quick since even about 1/2 of Republicans support it, so there probably won't be a need for a compromise bill, etc.

Wow so about a year and 6 months of UI? Will they garnish this once you get a job?
Forgive me I'm new to the unemployment subject.

Due to my paycut I actually would make more on unemployment now than by working full time. I guess this is why I pay taxes - so others can take an 18 month long vacation.

You have to give it up to a higher power.

What have they established for people who don't qualify for UI??
No safety net for us.

Yep, I'm still waiting for the decision on my second appeal. One month and a half months, and counting...

Wheelsup, you've obviously never been in a desperate situation, or about to lose your home. Have some repsect and compassion for people. I am not in this situation, but do you really think people want to be unemployed? Sounds to me like you'd be the type to enjoy taking a vacation and may be a little bitter, so you think that's what others are doing too. Grow up and be thankful you have a job and try t help others instead of taking the negative.

No, nothing like that. When you get a job, unemployment compensation stops.
