Default Unemployment and Holidays

If your direct deposit payday falls on a holiday will you be receiving your payment the day before or day after?

Actually it was a day early for this past Veteran's Day. It all depends on the payroll department and they usually try to get it done early rather than later.

and when they primarily cut checks it always was a wait and see if they come type of thing but with DD it's easier to speed up the clock 24 hrs.

In most states it's the day after despite the ability to speed it up with DD. Here in NY it most certainly is.

Hmmm I hope I get it the day before or a least on thanksgiving day! From what I remember all of my employers would pay us the day before if the payday fell on holiday.

For those who certified in GA, there was a notification that both Thursday and Friday are state holidays and benefits will be delayed. There is a possibility some Georgians will not see their compensation until next week. You may want to check your state DOL website or call to confirm.
