If it's extended until Nov, then everybody will be complaining that they won't have a "christmas" come December...it will go on and on.
Then end of the year is normally a good time to find seasonal jobs in retail and places like UPS. But in order to have those jobs available, people have to have money to spend to support those businesses.

You think the economy is bad now. Wait until millions all of a sudden lose any type of UI. I know it's hard for some of you to grasp, but for every UI dollar paid, $ 1.90 is put back into the economy........take even that small amount away and see what happens.

Looks like the paired back version of hr 4213 will have cut the fmap funding to about 20 billion and offset with unspent stimulus funds. Just read it on another forum. Link should be floating around soon

There isn't? Wow, I can say without a doubt you are the most clueless poster on this forum.

Then why are they still talking about the bill? Why are changes being made to seek a vote? If there is no "prospect" of it passing, then these things wouldn't be happening.

I tell you what, since you've determined that there isn't going to be any law passed, when it does pass, you should give up any benefits you would have received, since you obviously know more than the lawmakers and have decreed that nothing is going to happen. Deal?

theres no reason for the gloomy atmosphere in here. This is for hopes of a bill so if all your going to do is come in here with negativity then please don't bother.

I think it's actually pretty funny. You can tell she doesn't read anything that is going on in recent developments or she wouldn't type the things she does.

It's still open for debate today. From what I've read, they're hoping to be able to take a vote today, but not sure how "firm" that feeling is.
