SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — A strange image captured by a surveillance camera at the First Judicial District courthouse downtown has left sheriff's deputies, lawyers, clerks and judges scratching their heads.

Some think it's a ghost. Others suggest it's a reflection from a passing car or possibly a piece of fluff from a cottonwood tree.

"I don't know what it is, but I think it's neat that it showed up on a Friday," said Sally Saunders, assistant to District Judge Stephen Pfeffer. "Now we have something to talk about."

reminds me of the time I would take a bunch of other kids to a cemetary..the light would shine at just the right angle to make a gravestone "glow" if you parked in just the right place. Of course they didnt know that

If you put a camera on a tripod and leave the shutter open for a fairly long period of time while there's some movement going on it will create a ghostly effect. Once I saw a photo from inside of a church that really had an eerie looking image. It was determined that it was the cleaning lady and the shutter had been open a long time because no flash was used.

Interesting how the news article posts the story, but gives us no link to a picture or video.
