the answer to all of this is WHO KNOWS! ive always been interested in this stuff but we will never know until we see something or it is confirmed and widely accepted.
instead of wondering about what we dont know, i think a more important question is what are we going to do about population control? the earth's population is increasing extremely rapidly and we are bound to hit capacity, within the next 100 years. what is going to happen? war? famine? disease? are we going to colonize space?
who cares about all these wild conspiracies, the real question is where are we going to live? where will our grandchildren live? in a world with no natural resources or hope for mankind?
we go to another planet it is the only logical step and important to our species survival.
The "Ancient Aliens" series is often times fun to watch, and at times it can even be entertaining and thought-provoking. But at the end of the day, as is the case with so many series, theories, books, movies, etc. attempting to convince us of that intelligent ET's visited us once upon a time, there is not a shred of proof.
As several previous posts have stated, everything the Ancient Aliens series offered-up as proof of ET visitation can be explained in Earthly terms.
What I want to know: why didn't these ET's leave even one single solitary piece of equipment or technology, or tool, or some damn thing, that could put an end to this debate once and for all and prove they visited the Blue Planet? You know: like, say, a titanium-clad laser-based drill? Or a GPS device? Or even something equivalent to a surveyor's transit used today?
Hell, if even something like a Lowe's Kobalt multi-screwdriver was found in 5000 year-old ruins it would be good enough proof!
But, alas, nothing. Nada. Zilch. Not one scrap or micro-chip.
It's Occam's Razor, guys.
And it's not as fun or interesting as the Ancient Alien hypothesis, but I guess that's what the show's producers realize.

did you guys forget that the earth being round was a conspiracry theory as well?

How do you know they didn't? It's called top secret. Seriously you never looked around you at our planet and didn't think something or someone put this together. Our planet happens to be tilted in the right direction, at the perfect distance from the sun, with a magnetic shield emitting from the earth's core, and were supplied with oxygen, water and nutrients.
How concidential is that? This was all a big concidence how we came into existence. We some how met these impossible requirements to have life on our planet. Where did that strand of dna that seperates us from animals come from? Scientist don't know. But they do know it didn't occur naturally. How did water get here. All scientist know for sure water itself is extraterrestial and they theorize that water came from an asteroid.
This is the world around you! You don't need to watch the show to see the signs that we weren't the first intelligent lifeform and we might be descendants of another human like species.
Your saying this theory is impossible when not to long ago a man traveled to the moon. We have satellites floating around in the sky. So no its not impossible to leave from one planet to another.
Finally you people have absolutely no clue or couldn't even begin to fathom what other elements, enviroments or resources another species could have utilized in the universe to create technology.
Scientist just discovered anti matter and dark matter. Imagine what other elements is out there? What other metals is out there? Hell there could be organic metals out there for all we know..
All I'm saying is not to rule out the possibility. I just can't believe in this day in age people will believe in a magical voice in the sky over everday physics and technology.
If you let go of a ball in your hand and it drops to the ground is that magic?
If you let a piece of paper fall to the ground and the rate at which it descends is much slower then the ball and it floats. Is that magic?
When you ignite your cigeratte lighter and flame comes out is that magic?
When the sun is too intense on a hot day and you apply sun block to defend yourself against harmful rays is that magic?
Geuss what our predecassors mistaked everything for magic. We know better. We know that a bird flies by creating lift.
Yet we still believe in magic. We believe that a magical being created us out of stones and dust with words and blew air into our lungs and we lived.
We humans are fragile creatures. Too little oxygen we die. Exposed to radiation we die. No water or anything to eat we die. If the gravity was too harsh we would die. Not enough heat we die. Too much heat we die. No atmosphere we die. Our planet is a designed system. Too me our planetis nothing but a giant fishtank similiar to how fish are trapped in their tank because they survive being in water. We survive on air if we step out of our fish tank we die.
This planet, this life, isn't by accident. Exterrestials, Human like Gods took this heap of rock and engineered it to support life but of course its just a conspiracy.

What's the difference? That there are people who believe a magical being created the planet and people out of dust and stones, or that ETs/human-like gods engineered the planet to support life are the same thing. They're just different labels.
True, we have limitations to which outside such ranges can be fatal to humans. But life, human beings included, has adapted to survive on this planet. Supernatural or ET engineering are not necessary, nor has there been any compelling evidence to show that to be necessary. We have managed to develop ways to survive harsh conditions. Not enough heat? We have engineered heat systems for optimal survival. How do you think people are able to survive the harsh winters at Antarctica? Too much heat? We've engineered air conditioning systems to help cool us. We have humans in space, and a few who have been to the Moon. We take along a supply of air, food. etc., to survive such environments. If you look back just a few hundred years ago, ocean travel would have been impossible without preparing for it. Food, water, and supplies were necessary to take along on such long journeys.
While we aren't made out of dust and stones, ironically at the atomic scale, our bodies are composed of and require elements that can be found in metals and minerals. Such elements are found to be present in stars. There has been no need for "Ancient Aliens" to genetically engineer human beings, or any other life for that matter. That's not to say such engineering isn't possible, but there's no evidence to show that's the origin of human beings.
The evolution of life on the planet has been a slow gradual process. As human beings, our abilities to develop ways to better adapt to environments has been through lots of trial and error, until something is discovered to work, which has been passed on to others who in turn have made improvements on old concepts and ideas.
Is the history of human beings remarkable? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean "Ancient Aliens" were necessary. It just means that life on the planet found ways to get from where it was to where it is today. Erich von Daniken's views are nothing more than a modern twist on old fables and superstitions. What's the difference? He's simply created his own fables. He looks at ancient art and architecture and can't believe it possible to mean anything other than aliens. He's only substituted the word "aliens" (ancient astronauts) for "gods". His expertise and profession? He's an author. As far as I know, he has no expertise or academic credentials in any field of science, art or architecture. His own personal history involving fraud and having served more than 3 years in Swiss prisons doesn't exactly raise his credibility either. There's no question that his books, films and televised appearances have made him very popular and has helped develop quite a folloiwing. He's a very clever writer, but that doesn't mean he's right. In my opinion, he's basically leading people to follow along with his own backward path of ignorance.
Didn't watch the video yet...but one thing...space travel is frequently discussed as if it will be eventually inevietable amongst all intelligent tool-using species which survive for long enough to reach it...but not even all humans have an interest in space travel, terraforming other planets, and leaving earth. Who says something which evolved in a methane ocean would have any interest in it?
