What if ghosts are really just demons?

Well, the dividing line for me I think would be where they come from and their nature. I'm pagan, but I do believe in hell/the underworld, and think that there are intrinsically evil creatures that I would call demons. Whereas these little creatures that were just mean, I don't know where they came from, but I didn't think they were evil really, just maybe didn't like us being in their space. Kinda like I don't think bees are evil but if you get in their way they will sting you. Does that make sense?

What you are describing sounds like what my family has experienced. The "demons" we've seen are small, quick moving, and feel menacing. What we encountered felt evil. They definitely didn't seem like people. We've also encountered "ghosts" and they seem just like people. Some are just passing through, others try to interact with us, some seem mischievous and others sad.

Ghosts are demons. It makes perfect sense. It's a great deception they pull over our eyes. It would distract us from the truth and give us a false sense of beliefs. And that's what they prey on because they will do anything within their power to convince us that God is irrelevant.

I'm not so sure about that.

Just speaking for myself, I've been perfectly
capable of accommodating both a belief in
ghosts and an ever-deepening love for God.
The former has not compromised the latter
in any way.

In some respects, I would think a belief in
(or at least too much focus upon) demons
would do more to distract me from God
than would ghosts, and, indeed, this does
seem to be the case with the subset of
Christianity that seems obsessed with
what they perceive to be the influence of
Satan and the demonic in just about every
aspect of life.

I don't believe in ghosts or demons having never seen either one. I had a roommate once that could have qualified as a demon, but didn't meet the supernatural criteria.

The first time I read this word "ghost" in this forum. it did not come to my mind at all that the members here means "dead people". I took this word normaly according to what I know from the cultures. I use "ghost" word here because people always use it, it sounds a suitable word. They are familiar with it. But I mean a different creature who called "Gin" . Because those creatures had the ability to do things or even to take the other pictures" like people who dead" . Not all of them bad or do bad things. part of them are bad and the other is good and peaceful , too. dead people as I know can visit their relatives. But not every day or to still living in the home they had lived in before death.
