My understanding of average Deja Vu is that you are tired, your brain takes in the situation and location too slowly, and thus when recognition finally settles in, you get that feeling you've seen it or felt it before, when in fact you have, only it was just a few seconds before.

I like the genetic memory notions. And I saw my own car accident before it happened, and occasionally get other visions of the future, almost always they are to help me somehow. I think some psychics who help police are truly exceptional in their sensory abilities. Sometimes I wish a fortune teller was a true thing, but only thing I'd want to know at my age is if I'm gonna be able to take off my extra weight before my 50th high school reunion. SMILE.

YES!

I'm familiar with genetic memories. Not sure that I would say that it's what causes déjà vu tho. The example given with dogs is a regular action, not a random feeling like deja vu.
Spinning could also be a learned behavior.

Genetic memories is what I attribute to my attitude towards religion.
My grandmother does genealogy and has traced her side of the family way back to the 10th or 11th century.
I come from several lines of religious rebels. Manly the Pilgrims and the French Hugeunots. They wanted to explore thier faith their way...just as I do.

It depends on how long you look, I think.

I have experienced this in my 29 years of life - maybe once a year or so. What gets me is the feeling I get when it happens - you know, the feeling of it already happening before...
Sometimes, a few times per week, it's quite normal.

The experience is real/convincing enough for me to believe that everything that will happen already exists in the present moment and the passage of time is merely an illusion that exists in the minds of the observer. I am 100% convinced that every moment of my life has already been planned out for me.

IDK if I believe 100%. Much is predetermined, and why I'll agree with Carl Jungs theory, there are no coincidences.

I get this from time to time. Sometimes, I can actually predict and know what's going to happen within the next few seconds. It's really cool, weird and eerie all at the same time.

Me too! It's like, everything happens JUST as you expect it to!

It kinda happens like this. For instance, I'll be with somebody. They will say something, and I know exactly what will come next, and next, and I'll be CONVINCED this series of events has happened before or was could only happen that way.
