Medscape: Medscape Access

Your flesh at that point will start to tear off or the body can even burst from the gasses trapped inside.

"Degloving of the skin of the palms and soles typically occurs during decomposition, as well as in cases involving thermal exposure (ie, fires) and immersions (see the following example)."

"The pathologist should proceed with some degree of care during the autopsy of a decomposing individual, because tissues become more delicate as the PMI progresses."
Not to mention more contamination of the water, although I hope they are not using that tank anymore.

I wouldn't stay at that hotel if you paid me. But yes, this whole story is very strange.

I would go there, but only if there were 3 or more people with me.

I really wish this story wasn't swept under the rug.

Ok it's April 12 and still no news from either LAPD or LA media. I'm on a verge of contacting the LA Times to "restart" the story.

I don't believe in ghosts or anything being haunted, but that whole elevator scene was eerie enough to give me chills. I am very curious to know what prompted her behavior. At first, I thought that someone was chasing her. With her getting into the corner of the elevator, then peeking out. I thought she jammed up the elevator buttons so it wouldn't move, but watching the rest of the video, I just don't know. I wonder if she ever came back to the elevator, and it wasn't filmed. I'm going to be watching this case, for sure.

So there have been no updates on this story? I was looking forward to reading the toxicology reports. That elevator video is eerie!

Maybe they are not finished yet?

Toxicology Tests: What They Are and Why They Take So Long

""Some of the tests take days, weeks, months," says Alan Hall, MD, a board-certified toxicologist and consultant in Laramie, Wyo."
