North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal in India.

The Sentinelese are considered one of the world's last uncontacted peoples & the island is protected under the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Protection of Aboriginal Tribes Act of 1956.

They wouldn't land out in the open, we are too hostile to welcome them with open arms.

Being able to travel to Earth would make
such a civilization not interested in
communicating with its inhabitants.
Most see instantly that humans are
a rather primitive species and seek
areas of the Earth far from them.
When they do interact with humans,
it is as a human studies insects.
They sometimes grab one for closer
study.

Yes, but they would only need to do this a handful of times at the most...not hundreds of 1000s of different people, over the course of decades or centuries....that is something else entirely!

I can't play because I'm on the serious. Sorry.

They do not land / do not perform landings.

They do hoverings.

And, it's October. They're coming. They love October. It's their favorite month.

When they arrive, Thom was right.

Decks Dark (a musical masterpiece which intentionally or unintentionally samples Massive Attack's Teardrop).

Brilliant. As per usual.

So, yeah. Space Aliens: Hoverings in America

🤓

Dude no no no, that's like the last place one would want to land. That's where that crazy American was killed by arrows trying to canoe there last year. If they do that to a human, imagine how they would react to ET. They would start an interstellar war!

I think they would probably worship ET as a 'sky god' or from the 'sky people'.

I dont think they would be as hostile towards ET as they are towards other humans.

The Moon would be best. They could be detected and monitor activities on Earth. If they want to land they should best choose the Sahara Desert given its remoteness. Anywhere near a population center would be taken the wrong way.

Why not land on Europa or a far away target? They could use the asteroids as missiles against us. They could then announce their intentions to conquer the Earth and watch as we scrambled all of our remaining rockets, warheads, and military resources trying to fight a war with serious logistics problems. Of course they would also have serious logistics problems; but maybe their technology could assist them fighting so far from home? We would be between a rock and a hard place; since we obviously could not allow them to continually threaten Earth with more or larger asteroids or comets. We would have no choice except to fight on their terms.
