Well I voted for God. But i also believe in "UFO's". I don't really believe that there are little green men in a flying saucer...but there is certainly some stuff out there that has yet to be identified.

Troop, I'm pretty sure the odds of UFO's is better than the odds of life forming out of nothing.

i just think that given all the past religions that have been pretty much shown as bunk vs. a whole lot of space, with a whole lot of galaxies that are all full of a bunch of stars and given what little bit of the universe we have seen we have already found a few planets around a handful of stars... I mean, maybe we could be all there is, but the chances of this little speck of dirt being the only home to life in the whole universe seems a little cocky to me.

on that note, being that there are a lot of unknown things in the universe, i can't rule out the idea that something more powerful than us exists, i just don't think it's some dude that watches me while I'm in the shower.

I believe in both, and the reasons are the same.

We live in an infinite universe, we don't even know for sure it's real age or how was that everything began, we must know about 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000001%
(and that's a generous figure) of the mysteries of life and universe.

That's why I have faith in both ideas

Love and Light!

Zero?

Seriously?

I'm kinda surprised at this answer, MontanaGuy. I mean I understand your atheism and your reasons for lack of belief, but do you really think the possibility of there being a God is truly zero??

Something else I'd like to clarify is that the search for extra-terrestrial like planets is largely impeded by the fact that since planets do not emit their own light, we have to first find stars that resemble our own sun. It's only at that point that we are able to examine the stars' "warble" to determine if it has a gravitational object orbiting around it. It's at that point that we can take an educated guess if there is a planet orbiting that sun not too close to be too hot and not too far to be too cold based on the "warble" of that star. This most certainly does not help our progress as far as finding ET life.
Seems to me that whatever chemical reactions caused life on our planet that eventually evolved into us would also have evolved on other planets. Surely you are not implying that the earth is perfectly designed to support life and that life could not evolve and adapt to live in other, perhaps hasher, environments

I believe in both, God created this world and everything in it. God created everything including UFO's. UFO's (unidentified flying objects) are just those evil demons flying around. I guess I just identified them. So know I believe in IFO's (Identified flying objects).

Lets check out the mathematics. A church on every corner in the USA, Canada, UK... Billions of books about Christ the Bible and every facet of Judaism. And a bunch of Novelty stores with inflatable green men. I think as far as the fan clubs go, God is in the lead.

I voted for UFO's. I can't think of ever hearing of even one sighting. So much for my faith.

I believe in good, evil, the afterlife, and life in other universes.
