My mom had a reading with her in the mid to late-1970s before she became famous. I think she was spot-on accurate on some things, not so much on other things in the reading according to my mom. When I first saw her on Montel's show, I called my mom to ask her if it was the same lady she went to see when I was a kid, and I was surprised at how famous she had gotten. I always enjoyed watching her on Montel, even if I didn't always believe what she was saying.

I feel for her family and friends and hope they can find peace during this time.

Does anyone know what she died from? So far it's like a big secret or something.

I keep hearing that joke, and I realize it's just a (somewhat tasteless) joke... but if we were to consider it seriously, would knowing she was going to die have stopped it? Maybe if she'd died in a car accident, I could see the "hmmm" in that - but if it were cancer, heart disease, etc, predicting it wouldn't have done much! So for all we know, she was aware and just accepted her fate. Food for thought.

No, I haven't heard any details... pretty sure she had heart problems, though, and (just guessing based on her voice) probably smoked too. It only said "she died surrounded by her loved ones," so it probably wasn't something sudden like a heart attack.

My understanding is that many psychics are not able to see anything regarding themselves, such as predicting their own death etc. Many times they go to other psychics that they know personally to get read. i know Theresa Caputo does that.

And where is this 'universal law' written? Beings there is a lot of psychic ability being used for personal gain and people continue to be psychic, I can't agree with this.
People use psychic ability in the form of intuition for personal gain all the time and don't lose it.
