I have been rather interested in Celtic mythology lately and have been doing some research on the gods and goddesses of Celtic mythology, particularly Morrigan, the goddess of battle, strife, and sovereignty. I have read online and in books that some of the Celtic goddesses had children with mortals.

Did Morrigan ever have any children with mortals by any chance? If so:

1. Did she ever love them? did she ever speak to them? Did she ever raise them or get involved with their lives in any way by any means possible?

2. Did her half-mortal/demigod children go on to live in her realm in the afterlife once they died?

3. Could there be half-mortal/demigod sons and daughters of Morrigan that we know nothing of including their names and will most likely never find out about them?

4. Could she have had any of her half-mortal/demigod children reincarnate themselves with the possibility of some of them living amongst us right now with their mother I.E. Morrigan waiting patiently for them to regain their memories of their past lives somehow I.E. rediscovering who they truly are and seek her out so she can take them all back to her realm in the afterlife to be with her for eternity?? I'd really like to know!

Also I am well aware that most people probably are unaware of and will probably never have the answers to questions 1, 2 and 4. But at least give the effort to answer them if you can.

The problem you're going to run into with Celtic mythology is that by the time they got around to writing any of it down, they no longer believed it. Our earliest records of Celtic myth all date from the time when the Celtic world was thoroughly Christian, and had it not been for Christian monks writing things down, we'd have nothing at all.

And if the Celtic world ever had its equivalent of Homer or Virgil or Ovid, he or she never wrote any of it down, so there is no unified Celtic myth. There are lots of tales and lots of different versions of Morrigan, and you're lucky if any two of them agree on the finer points.
