AVONDALE, La.–A woman claims she helped raise a Bigfoot between the years 1964 and 1972. L. Melacetti,
70, says she found the animal when he was a baby, abandoned in the swamps of Louisiana.

“He was so little, so cute. I had to do something about it. He was so defenseless, laying next to the mud and water, curled, crying like a baby, his parents were either dead or they had abandoned him,” the ex-farmer said.

Well, I'm an alien doing intelligence and surveillance for an impending ET invasion and my mom has a pet chupacabra so I guess anything is possible.

quite touching that Junior would return and once brought a friend along and they all had dinner on the front porch together.

I converse with fungi and airborne spores.

Publishing her journal? Wonder if there really is one.
Wonder if it as old as her supposed experience.
Pretty good thinking if it is all about a retirement plan.

That's funny! I had a hard of hearing moment combined with a cell phone glitch.... my husband called one night and said he'd pick up a pizza from this new place that people told him was really good.

I swear he said Goat Sucker pizza... It's Goat Hill...

We now call it Chupacabra Pizza.

I picture Bigfoot sitting in a cave reading an article like this over a case of Schlitz malt liquor, Laughing up a storm.

There's been a great deal of speculation as to how humans adopted the wolf and made that ferocious beast our dearest and most loyal companion. In the whole animal kingdom it's a unique relationship. The most reasonable explanation is that Indo-European women on the steppes adopted orphaned puppies and raised them with their families. The wolves were playful and became trusted companions and protectors as they grew older. I see no reason why it would be any less likely to adopt a creature who is not only helpless but is similar to a human.

Since we know of no unpleasant results of human encounters we must assume that bigfoot is either herbivorous or limits meat to carrion. That explains why we have never read of encountering a bigfoot with any real unpleasantness. The isolation and lack of visitors to the Louisiana bayou country makes it ideal for a timid species.

Note to naysayers: the okapi, a large grazing animal, was unknown until 1887; it's existence wasn't confirmed until 1901.
