I wouldn't mind seeing the videos...

Red lights could be a couple things. Slow moving meteor with iron content (I believe) or space junk.

Years ago, a friend and I were watching a huge storm approaching across the Iowa corn fields. The lightning strikes were red due to the dust being kicked up in front of the storm - same effect I think you see in sunsets. The content of the atmosphere can thus affect the color of what you're seeing.

By the way, iron produces a yellow or gold flame; red is typically caused by calcium, strontium, or lithium.
