Well there appears to be "gates of Hell after all". And portals have been open for some time. Multi-dimensional realms are opening. Doors closed for millennia are actually inviting evil principalities. powers as perhaps nephilms as we approach the days of Noah? Dark powers seen before the flood,while a complacent traditional church slips into happy church, seculars left totally ignorant and unmentored and not connected and pagan faiths caught up in distracting nonsense never knowing what hit them.. We are as a world quickly marching to the paranormal as normal.

Sounds like you have read some stuff and swallowed it whole and you are now frightening yourself. Too many spooky ghost stories I reckon.

Society as a whole is more distant from one another, we have more conflict in the world, more of the future seeming like a threat, more acceptance and glorification of bad behavior and a system that makes it often harder to succeed for honest people. Its not gates of hell but from human ideals and action at play. Its not everyone though. People can be awesome in acts of kindness and achievements for bettering the world that we often dont hear about under the piles of news stories of horror and doom. World aint done for just yet but plenty of anxiety abound in daily life.
