And finding old staircases out in the wilderness...could be dangerous. What's underneath? And rotting.

Reminds me of my uncle who told me not to walk on old graves as a child. His reasoning was sound. An old grave is a simple wooden box with a body put into dirt. The box rots and leaves a coffin shaped hole, and a kid steps on the grave the whole thing collapses and the child can't get out. An adult would be able to.

My uncle was a smart cookie.

A reasonable, yet horrifying, explanation ... that would be an awful experience!

Oh gosh; hope you are ok now?

People would be surprised if they knew how much it happens; the odor that comes from cooking meth is not easy to hide "in town" so alot of cooks head to the hills. I bet that smell even keeps the bears away; yikes!

The links I gave in the first post do suggest something other than tornado trash and besides, they would not likely have landed the right way up would they? They would have crashed against trees on the way down making it fairly obvious that they came in from the sky.

If there are staircases, then why not other parts of houses left out there? Perhaps because the staircase maybe the last piece standing when everything else has gone back to nature. Some are reported to be in really good condition too.

Never found a staircase, but have seen several chimneys.

Though I was told not to walk on graves out of respect I had never heard this before. I wonder if this is really where that comes from? It makes sense.

Tornados do very strange things. I went to Greensburg Ks after a F5 Tornado chewed the town for 10-12 minutes and saw total destruction except for 1 house that was right in the thick of it and was still standing and minor damage while 2 other houses and their basements were sucked out of the ground and disappeared. Tornado is my vote.

After an extensive Google search on this subject, the only articles I can find all point back to this Reddit Nosleep series posted by "searchandrescuewoods". I also see that this person has a book coming out soon. This is a work of fiction. A good one but fiction nonetheless. I enjoyed reading his stories.
