The sun is in Scorpio here and it is in Scorpio there. It is the plutonian energy.

I understand about the pagan holidays, they are on the fixed signs of the Zodiac, we have Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus, and Leo and these are the cross quarter days
celtic calendar cross-quarter quarter days holidays | The Old Farmer's Almanac

The opposite of Scorpio is Taurus and that is called Beltane or May Day here. That is Taurus energy which is very different then Scorpio energy. I looked it up and it it can be done either way. You could Celebrate Samhain in May. That corresponds to their seasons but not to the astrology. These holidays were named and developed by Northerners so they can be adapted however you want but Scorpio is still Scorpio and Taurus is still Taurus.

If it were me, I would keep the names and the meanings but adapt the ceremonies to fit the time of year. The reason I am stubborn about that is because it does relate to astrology, and that is energy and the energy is the same all over the planet but it must feel different in the Southern Hemisphere and maybe even at the North and South Pole.

I also think it is an individual thing. Does the veil feel thin or not. A person has to use their own judgment on that and observe.

This October theory seems to affirm my life patterns. I found this thread because this weekend I had a lucid dream about a loved one who passed away early in the year. It was so realistic. My heart was heavy when I met friends for brunch. They said it is a sign he's finally moving on. But I don't want his spirit to leave. Never felt this way before. Has anyone else experienced acceptance of loss but still wanting to believe they're still around in spirit?

for decades I have been getting these strange thoughts/memories/flashbacks. Best way to describe them is like a memory of something that happened to someone else. In other words, as strong as a memory, but not one I can remember.

They peak in the fall and the spring. I don't know why.

Very interesting. I have never kept track of things like this. However for a week I have been having the strangest dreams. Also last week I had a strange thing happen. We moved into a new home in July and we are having some carpentry work done. In order to keep dust down my contractor draped plastic closing off the room it is being done in. I will back track for a moment and say where ever we have lived there has always been "disturbances". I chalk it up to my parents , sister father in law etc who all passed a long time ago. Anyway I had made a joke that they haven't found us in our new home yet. My son mentioned that it totally creeped him out to walk by the room draped in plastic. The plastic moves when you walk by.....as plastic would of course do. But he said" I feel like someone is standing inside there and watching me walk by." He has had a lot of paranormal stuff since he was a baby. The next night I was in the kitchen loading the days dishes in the DW. Everyone had gone to bed. It was late between 11-12. Suddenly a power tool turned on inside that room. I freaked out a bit. Called my husband to go in there. It was plugged in and the switch was turned on. My contractor had left it plugged in most likely but he had not been there for 4 days. No one goes in there since its a work zone. We turned it off and unplugged it.....The next day I joked that "they" wanted to make sure I knew they had found us. I told my son (who btw is a young adult) and he said " I told you someone was in there"

Generally, I don't recall dreams, but recently dreamed about a fire starting outside my bedrm window. But not where I live? I'm certain theres a meaning behind the dream, just something I don't particularly care to dig into.

ETA - If you are a skeptic or a "debunker", this thread is not for you.

I'd like to hear from others who are open to the spiritual and paranormal.
It's the change in light that signals Autumn is upon us. Shorter days, the sun is lower in the sky.

I haven't had any unusual dreams, though.

You're picking up on whats been a constant for thousands of years and is common to many or even most peoples perceptions. Kind of like noticing the leaves are changing or the weather's getting cooler. You don't have to be a meteorologist to pick up on that. Likewise everybody is a little psychic, they just don't realize it.
This is the Halloween season. We may have lost the origins of it over the years through making it based on entertainment and commercialism. But we still have our thoughts go to ghosts and witchcraft and goblins and things that go bump in the night.
I had a dream last night about something that attacked me while I was sleeping and I fought it off and saw broken glass where it was( in the dream), like I shattered a mirror or a crystal that it was in. That day I then cut myself on broken glass. I also saw a broken mirror somebody left out for the trash. "Tis the season.

Last night I dreamt of my mother. She has been gone 25 years and I rarely dream of her. Maybe once a year if I am lucky. It was a strange dream and I don't know what it could possibly mean. I was young in the dream. I'm guessing high school age only because a person I was best friends with in High school was also in the dream. Her and I were going somewhere. IDK where but it must have been quite a journey. It was pouring rain. In route on this journey I realized I had not prepared properly and had not brought enough supplies (clothing etc. ) with me nor had I brought the correct items as I was not equipped for the torrential rain that was happening. I guess I called my mom and she agreed to bring me clothes and whatever else I needed. I saw her driving to get to me (and my friend). She met us at a hotel we had stopped at for the night. Once she arrived at the hotel I woke up. Strangest dream. But I woke up thinking "what do you know, I actually dreamt of her which never happens and now I am aware that this time of year it is more likely to happen, so there ya go!"

Ghostly manifestations are not held to a particular
time of year. If I am to understand my research,
time does not exist on the other side. As far as a veil
being lifted; who is lifting it? Sure there are people
who a little sensitive to the supernatural but if
a ghost want to make itself known to you, you will be
aware of it, sensitive or not.

My dreams have become more detailed and realistic. Many people who have passed on are appearing in them, more than usual.

Has anyone else experieced this?
