Just for "fun" I continued my search of archived newspaper articles regarding the Big Bird & now I'm feeling pretty validated.

I found many reports from the 1830's into the 2000's & here are a few:

From the 1976 "Big Bird" sightings in Texas; a person reports having sighted the bird as early as 1970 but had declined to report it because they were afraid of ridicule. What caught my attention was the description of the force of air from the wing flap.

A farmer from Mt. Vernon in 1878; attacked by a bird with a 15ft wingspan & talons measuring 2 feet across. Had to kill the bird by beating at it with his gun as he did not have time to fire.

And report from a pilot in Alaska in 2002 who encountered a bird as large as his plane.

I think this forum is great.

I do believe in the paranormal.. and haunted places, this with "bad" or "good" (evil sometimes) "energy."

Sure, there are crackpots describing huge Chupicabras etc.

But they aren't ALL.

I know this is a really old thread but I wanted to post links to the AboveTopSecret forum where this guy is trying to find a particular picture of the Thunderbird which a number of people remember seeing.

So, I was wondering if any of you remember seeing this picture and if interested in this topic might want to go there and read the threads referred to.

A similar City-data thread about a Thunderbird or pteradactyl seen in Texas

I suspect this is a case of the Madala Effect where certain information is remembered by many people and then disappears into the ethers - never to be seen again but still remains in the memory of the folks who originally saw it. In this case it is a picture of a Thunderbird which was shot and killed and then nailed to a barn door. The photo was of this and the men who shot it.

Also in this ATS thread too

If anyone remembers seeing this picture, please go over and post where you saw it or if you have a book with the image in it, then that guy on ATS wants to know.
