But IMO, the feds have a very good idea whats going on with these disappearances and are deliberate in not trying to stop them.
Theres not much they could do to stop them. There is still plenty of extremely rural locations, where you are totally alone, lots of dense forest and wilderness, they cant have eyes everywhere, even if they are are using secret spy satellites, if you are in a dense forest with a thick canopy, it wont pick up anything happening on the ground beneath.
